Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated…
There’re a number of everyday items you have in your household that you can use to whip together simple, DIY beauty treatments.
Here are just a few:
Relaxing Bath Concoction
Rosewater, coconut milk and Epsom salt are the perfect concoction for a relaxing bath!
A few drops of Rosewaterhalf a cup of coconut milk and a cup of Epsom salt will leave you feeling luxurious! Why not make it even better with a few candles, a good book and a cup of herbal tea?
Homemade Face Scrub
Brown sugar and olive oil mixed together provide a gentle body scrub that isn’t harsh on the skin. The ratio and consistency will depend on your personal preferences.
Homemade Face Moisturiser
Suffering from dry skin? This moisturising face mask will provide your face with some much-needed moisture.
Simply mix ½ a cup of oatmeal, juice from an orange, 3 tablespoons of greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of dried orange peel. Combine all ingredients and apply on your face for 15 – 20 minutes before rinsing.
Homemade Face Mask
This mask is so good you may want to eat it!
Combine ½ a cup of avocado, ¼ cup of uncooked oatmeal, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of honey,1 teaspoon of lemon juice and a teaspoon of SkinB5™ Clear Skin Superfood Booster in a bowl.
Once you have mashed all the ingredients, apply to your face for 20 minutes and try not to eat it! Follow up with a good quality moisturiser afterwards.
These recipes demonstrate that you don’t always need to reach for expensive beauty products to achieve effective skin care. Sometimes all the things you need are close by!
