Fish is a fantastic way to get some well-needed Omega oils into your body. Omega 3 is the key to reducing inflammation. which is massive when it comes to angry, red Acne, but it also has many benefits for most of the other systems of your body too.
Cold-water fatty fish such as Salmon, Herring, Mackerel, and Trout are high in Omega 3 and when eaten regularly the quality of your skin will be visibly better in no time at all.
The fresher the fish, the better it will be for your skin. Just as fresh fruit and vegetables are so much better for our skin than processed foods – the fresher the better (and processed is by no means fresh!)
So to maximise the power of the Omega 3 in your fish, try buying fresh fish. When you cook it, steam, grill, lightly fry or bake it. Ensure it’s not overcooked. Again you will absorb more nutrients if the fish (or any food you cook) is not overcooked.
Easy but Yummy Salmon
1 portion of Salmon
Parsley, Dill, Tarragon or Basil
Lemon Zest
Put the Salmon in a piece of foil. Sprinkle the lemon zest along with Parsley, Dill, Tarragon or Basil (pick a herb that you love the most). Fold the foil up so none of the juices and oil spills out whilst baking. Then pop in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes.
Undo the foil. You’ll have a yummy moist piece of Salmon that you can serve with salad and/ or vegetables of your choice.
Super easy – super yummy and super good for your skin!!!
